Pulaski County NG911 is proud to announce our River Mile Marker Project! With an increased number of water related emergency calls, the Pulaski County Missouri NG911 River Mile Marker Project aims to enhance the safety and efficiency of boating and floating activities along the Gasconade River and Big Piney River in Pulaski County Missouri. This groundbreaking initiative involves the placement of highly reflective signs every 1 mile along the river banks outside the normal flood zone. These signs will serve as visual markers, providing vital location information for boaters and emergency services. Pulaski County will lead the industry by becoming the first-ever County in Missouri to place river mile markers along its breathtaking river waterways. Pulaski County Missouri NG911 has always been an industry leader in public safety, and this is the newest of many ways Pulaski County Missouri NG911 takes public safety to the next level.

Michelle Graves, Director of Pulaski County Enhanced 911, has announced that the Missouri 911 Service Board has given the green light for a new set of grants. Pulaski County E911, in partnership with Crawford, Maries, and Phelps Counties, has been granted a multi-county NG911 grant under the American Rescue Plan Act. The grant awarded to Pulaski County E911 amounts to $408,203.37 for the acquisition of NG911 equipment and/or services, with a 10% match and an in-kind match for items meeting NG911 requirements purchased within the last two years. Pulaski County E911 has fulfilled the in-kind match requirement by purchasing a new NICE audio recorder.
The funds from the grant will be utilized to establish an ESINet with INdigital, enabling digital call routing instead of the traditional CAMA telephone trunks. This advancement will facilitate the transmission of text, images, and video through 911. The collaboration will provide system redundancy with automatic routing to other PSAPs (Public Safety Answering Points) as necessary. The new system is expected to enhance location accuracy and response times. Through ESINet programming, this collaboration will virtually consolidate four PSAPs, contributing to the State's NG911 objectives. INdigital will also offer MEVO services, a service continuity and disaster recovery platform. The MEVO platform functions as an independent call processing system on the output side of the NGCS routing platform. This platform enables 911 calls to be directed to a VOIP phone with E911 capabilities. These devices operate autonomously from the CPE equipment and are not linked to it. In case a call remains unanswered after a specific number of rings, it can be automatically redirected to the MEVO phone or another 911 center. Furthermore, if the ESINet detects an error in the network or CPE equipment, it promptly directs the 911 call to the MEVO phone.
The addition of text services (outside of Prepared Live) will include INdigital text to 911 services, a text control service that allows SMS text messages to be sent to the 911 PSAP from major carriers.
The final feature to be implemented through the grant is the upgrade to RapidSOS premium, which encompasses all the features and functionalities of the RapidSOS portal, including ESRI Basemap, locally hosted authorities GIS data and basemap services, Geocode services, and two (2) feature services. This will allow for the display of ANI/ALI and wireless location on a single screen.
Funded by the Missouri 911 Service Board, this project will bring Next Generation 911 (NG911) to the 4 counties, addressing the Missouri Legislature's call for the consolidation of 911 equipment and systems over the past two decades. The grant will support the system for a period of 5 years.
Graves highlights that NG911 represents an advancement over older legacy 911 systems, with more accurate caller locations and cellular calls being routed to the 911 center based on the caller's location. The transition to IP-based 911 trunks will enhance reliability, capacity, and flexibility for PSAPs.
Moreover, NG911 will introduce innovative features like text to 911, location services, and multi-media data sharing, ultimately improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the emergency response system for both public safety professionals and the general public.
Our dispatchers strive to provide the best possible service to our community.
Take a moment to let them know their hard work did not go unnoticed.
